Catch-up

Ok, ok...so I have totally neglected my blog for the past month and a half. Let me give you all an update as to the crazyness of our lives right now.

Mom had major neck surgery the June 6th. Recovery has been a bit slower this time around, but we have all be able to get a good laugh out of her minnie mouse voice :) Its only temporary.

Grampa Lish passed away June 9th.  Even with an understanding of a greater plan in this life. The loss has affected more than I thought.

I got my garden in...late but in!

Jim finished the school year and started with
 his summer transition program.

I swear Isabelle has grown 4 inches this summer so far. All this warm sunshine and rain apparently has the same effect on 2 year olds as it does the weeds in my Garden.
We have started a few projects around the house.

Project 1.We made a play area for the house and slide for Isabelle

Project 2. We have NO insulation...I mean NONE. so, we are tearing down the walls re-building the wall (since they are only about 3 inches thick) and putting in some lovely insulation and then sheet rocking it back up.

This is my living room.... minus plaster and a few lathes. We are finding that this house is built like a barn....

Things are looking good for you guys. Sorry to hear about the fam's loss. Isabelle is as cute as can be, and is HUGE. We need to live closer together, we'll help you remodel your house, you help us, k?

I do not envy you the remodeling work. We're still in the thick of ours and, well, my slave laborer has gone AWOL. Stinking Army.

Isabelle is the cutest thing ever! That house looks like so much fun. I'd ask her to share but know I'd only break the slide and she'd hate me for the rest of her life. We have some experience with breaking kids toys around here...

Sorry to hear about your Grampa. I hope you're able to find the peace you need. Time is a big helper, I think.

Now, about you guys moving further south...

Sorry to hear about your Grandpa Lish - he always was the best Santa. Looks like you're really making progress on your house. I know how frustrating it can be, but it will all be worth it in the end. :) I can't believe how much Isabelle has grown - time flies! She really is cute... she looks just like you! :)

Ponder this....

You're alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
